Touching Customers at Horsham 4Networking

by Dawn on October 23, 2009

Just back from Horsham 4N – what a great meeting (as usual). I was the 4Sight speaker (my first 4Sight, hopefully first of many) and it was fab fun.

I talked about Marketing Touches and the importance of planning the right number of touches into your marketing.

I shook my head at the woefulness that I come across in my work. (woeful – what a wonderful word!) including:

  • what was so special about that chair this morning (features and benefits)
  • click here – aarrrgh! might start a campaign to rid the web of ‘click here’
  • websites that take too long to load
  • no call to action – you’ve managed to get a visitor to your web page, then you don’t tell them what to do next – what a waste – woeful

I talked about my Fantastic Auntie … Auntie Aida (Attention Interest Desire Action)

I talked about technology Eg. autoresponders and using pictures/images for attention … and could have mentioned more, watch for more blog posts…

I wrapped up with Radio WIIFM

Finally, I asked everyone in the room to post a comment here – so go on, tell me what you think below…

Wow!

At Horsham 4N today I have just witnessed the best ever 4sight from Dawn Brewer – it was brilliant, informative, entertaining and rivetting – book her now. You won’t regret it
